C. J. Lunderman Scholarship
Washington School Reunion's goal is to give Black/African American Students' from Caruthersville, Missouri an option about careers when they graduate from high school.
How the Scholarship fund is acquired:
•Anyone who attends the reunion pays dues of $10.00 every two years. ( Many people send in their dues even if they can't attend the reunion.
•During the reunion year the Walk-A-thon and the Gospel Fest are events that raise money for the scholarship fund.
•Subchapters from other cities such as Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, Caruthersville, MO, and St. Louis, MO raise money and donate the money to the Scholarship Fund.
•Individual people, other groups, and companies donate money to the scholarship Fund. We have a scholarship committee that takes care of the selection of the students. Students are required to apply for the scholarship. They are chosen on the basis of the criteria that the organization has established.
